Summer 08 update

So much to say…so much to do. But as T57 communication officer it’s my duty to keep this site up to date. We’ve hit the T57 summer break. A time where we take care of our loved ones and the sacred slack duties of a hot summer. Does that mean we’re not creating the swankest vibes this side of … er… well … anywhere? No! We’ve been working on tunes which swirl around the mighty Tiki/Lounge/World/Surf genre. Be Forwarned…dont let our lack of public appearances set you into a doldrum..As the Maori say

He tini nga whetu e ngaro I te kapua iti
Translation: Many stars cannot be concealed by a small cloud.

Anyway we’re taking care of important business and look for us in the fall to gig out. Til then….ZaZau ZaZau!

Homegrown 2008 gig and Fashion Show

It seems that the Tangier 57 Vibe is spreading well beyond the cozy Northern Minnesota boundaries. Amazon and Rhapsody have both picked and are selling our first release. Look for it on iTunes very soon. Our contribution to Treasure Chest is already in iTunes. Search “tangier 57″ to find it.

Northern Lights Express

Digital EP Release

I’ll leave it to others to explain the methods and madnesses (mostly the later) going into the Digital EP or DEP release mechanisims and machinations. I’m here to let you know that yea, verily, we in fact will be playing at Carmody Irish Pub old duluth town on Friday March 7th. Rumors have already been flying about the set times and as far as I can say right now, it’ll be a “hodge podge of hocus pocus and hanky panky” ( I officially reserve ALL rights to that phrase in perpetuity) starting sometime before 10pm with Greg “Cougar” Conley & Friends of the Hog Damage persuasion. Then, upon completion of their shickanery, the fellows of Tangier 57 will avail those assembled with their fines swankery and “that which must be held back for the ladies”. Finally, the trusty nomads of Haus Meeting will purvey their musical meanderings. A loungey time will be had by all
