Professor n’Marion

A member of a long-lived, scholarly species, born on Situla, the 7th planet of the star system known on Sol 3 as “Aquarius,” the avatar known locally as The Professor n’Marion has studied at the Institute for Celestial Ethnomusicology (ICE) for approximately the last 100,000 terran years. With an interest in music as a means of interstellar travel, he’she was en route to the music festival on Centaurus 7 when a secondary rhythm player accidentally sampled frequencies from Sol 3 that were streaming the local music known as “Free Jazz” into the cosmos. This caused the music-o-matic drives to wobble uncontrollably, a splash landing in the planet’s largest freshwater body, and began a 50 year quest to recompose a musical crew to continue the journey.
